What is CUET UG Examination?
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) is a national entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate programs in central, state, deemed, private universities and other government institutions across India.
CUET provides a single-window for students from all education boards to apply to multiple universities with one standardized exam score.

The CUET 2026 Exam Pattern
CUET exam is conducted for a total of 37 subjects, allowing candidates to choose subjects based on their course and universities requirements. The exam structure for CUET is given below:

The CUET 2026 marking scheme, as per NTA is as follows:
- For every correct answer : Five marks (+5)
- For any wrong option chosen, a mark will be reduced: (-1)
- Unanswered/Marked for Review will receive no mark (0).
Where is CUET Conducted?
CUET takes place at official NTA exam centers in different cities across India in computer-based test (CBT) mode.
While filling out the application form, candidates can select their preferred exam city. Depending on availability, NTA assigns an exam center, which is then listed on the candidate’s admit card.
