When a single gene exhibits multiple phenotypic expression, such a gene is called Pleiotropic gene. Example- Disease Phenylketonuria which occurs in humans. This disease is caused by mutation in the gene that codes for the enzyme phenyl alanine hydroxylase (single gene mutation).
