North Campus (main cluster)
Most of DU’s highest-ranked and most competitive colleges are in North Campus. Notable examples: Hindu College, St. Stephen's College, Hansraj College, Ramjas College. These colleges dominate NIRF listing and top cut-offs.

South Campus
South Campus hosts excellent departments and some affiliated colleges (less concentrated than North but with strong programs in specific disciplines). Examples include certain specialized schools and faculties of DU.  Colleges Like Lady Shri Ram, Venky and ARSD are torch bearers for South Campus

Off-Campus (East/West/Other DU colleges)

Why should you join: If your aim is a rigorous honours degree in English, Political Science, Sociology, or related fields and you want vibrant societies + research opportunities, these colleges are the top choices for girls.

Commerce & Economics - Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC)

Why does it stands out: SRCC is the most premier commerce institute under DU with top industry recruiters, strong records of placement, and a focused commerce curriculum. High trends of CUET cut-offs reflect demand from students pursuing SRCC as their dream college.

Why you should join: Best for students aiming at investment banking/consulting, top internships, and national placements. If you want a career in commerce/finance, SRCC is the DU gold standard.

Sciences & STEM - Hindu College and Hansraj College

1. Pick on program fit first. If SRCC offers exactly what you want in commerce, its brand is icing - but program & internships matter most. If you dont want to study BCom(Hons), it may not be useful.
2. If you want research or higher studies, prefer colleges with active faculty research (Hindu, Hansraj, Miranda). Check which college aligns to your career goals.
3. If placement & corporate exposure matter, SRCC, Hindu, and LSR regularly attract top recruiters. If you aim for high Placements, choose college as per the criteria.
4. Don’t over-rely on “expected cut-offs” - always check the specific Round & category cut-offs when filling CSAS preferences. Fill Back-up options as well so that you dont miss out on other opportunities that DU provides you.
